Frequently Asked Questions

What is CAPTCHA and why is it so commonly used?

CAPTCHA was developed fundamentally to establish whether a website user is human or a machine. Because of the various ways in which websites are misused by hackers, CAPTCHA asks registrants/visitors to re-enter a randomly generated code which is usually provided as a distorted image thus weeding out any machines that are attempting to exploit the facility.

So thank heavens for CAPTCHA, you might think. But what about those users who find them irritating? Not to mention those who struggle to complete them because of vision impairment or dyslexia.

How do I know that Captcha Monster is working?

Captcha Monster hasn't passed the verification. What should I do?
